Accessibility Statement

We want everyone who visits the Hive Learning website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.

What are we doing?

To help us make the Hive Learning website a positive place for everyone, we’ve been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.

The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the Hive Learning website.

How are we doing?

We strive to ensure that all pages of our website meet AA standards. Every feature is built with that goal in mind and we undergo regular testing. Whilst we usually meet our target, we do recognise that some areas are not perfect and we are actively working to improve them. We have detailed our improvement areas below.

1.1.1 Non-Text Content and 1.2 Time-Based Media. We make efforts to offer text alternatives to non-text and time-based media such as graphics, audio, and video. We add alt text to images and offer transcripts of audio and video when available. However, some embedded content is generated by third parties and we may not have control over whether text alternatives are provided.

1.4.3: Contrast (Minimum). We have recently corrected some contrast issues across our platform. However, some client-branded colours do not meet AA standards. We are producing guidance and best practices for users of our platform to encourage AA compliance.

If you enjoyed using the Hive Learning website, or if you had trouble with any part of it, please get in touch by emailing us at help@hivelearning.com.
